Surprise!! We had a...

Man 3 weeks since I last wrote, and only 3 things have happened!! Haha what can we do, it's Benito right!!

BUENOS DIAS!! Man it feels great to once again have the opportunity to share with you some of my adventures in the small town of Benito Juárez!! This time, I have a pretty big surprise!! As I'm sure you know... because you read the title, but hey, we'll keep you on your toes and save it for last right?? Anywayyyyys... let's start from the beginning, OK??

First and foremost, we have some of the best missionaries you know. I'm not saying that because I am one of them, I'm saying this because man, the amount of care they have for the people they teach and for the other missionaries is unreal!! I was lucky enough to be a recipient of this care and compassion last week when I spent my birthday with the Elders from Villa Ahumada . They were so awesome. They decided to set up a whole thing with cookies, chocolate abuelita (it's like hot chocolate, but better) and the Christmas Light the World with Love video!!(which is awesome by the way!! You should watch it, trust me) It was definitely a blessing to be able to spend my birthday with these amazing elders!!

But it didn't stop there!! Once I got home, Elder Ellis, one of our zone leaders, came to visit us!! He is awesome!! He gave me a ton of huge tips with my Spanish study and also helped us make a plan for helping the inactive members come back!! I'm so glad that I was able to spend just one day with him, and I hope that I can do that again someday!!

Hmm what else happened … oh, I went grocery shopping... but I'm sure you want to hear about the surprise right?

The surprise is... WE HAD A BAPTISM!! For the first time in years, we finally had a baptism!! Now, it wasn't an investigator, but instead, it was the daughter of a member!! Nevertheless, it is still a baptism!!

It was definitely a different experience. What I mean by that is, we don't have a pool or a font in our church building, but we do have a portable font that we were able to put together. It was definitely a unique experience, and I know that I will never forget it!!

I'm so grateful to know that the gospel of Jesus Christ has been restored on the earth today, and that others can really follow Jesus Christ through his example of being baptized by someone who holds the authority and power of God (the Priesthood). I'm so grateful to know that I was able to help one of God's children follow the example of Jesus Christ through the authority given to me to act in the name of Jesus Christ for the benefit of his children!!

Thank you all so much for your support during these past few months!! I love you all so much, and have an amazing week, but don't have too much fun without me!!
